Galvanized Milk Jug Arrangement

One of my favorite things to do in my free time is to make wreaths, flower arrangements, and things like that. One of my most recent projects was an arrangement with hydrangeas, what I believe to be pussy willow, and some sort of pretty yellow flowers that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. Today I'm going to show you all how to make your own! 

You will need-

Three different types of flowers 

Glue gun and glue

Wire cutters/scissors

Burlap ribbon

Galvanized milk jug 

  I started out by measuring my hydrangeas and cutting them to the height I wanted. Then I just staggered the other flowers in height with the tallest ones going in the back. 

 The bow is where things get kind of tricky. You'll need to cut two pieces of burlap, each 18 inches long, one of which will become the tail and the other will become the largest loop. You will also need a piece that is 15 inches long which becomes the smallest loop on the bow, and one 4 inch piece that becomes the middle of the bow.

Take one piece of 18 inch burlap and fold it in half so that the ends meet in the middle and make a loop.

You will need to glue the two layers together. Do the same with the 15 inch piece of burlap. Lay these two loops on top of each other, with the smallest loop on top. Kind of "smoosh" them together from the top to the bottom. Now take the other 18 inch peice of burlap and fold it half, with the 4 inch piece of burlap in the center. Then wrap the shorter piece around the center of the two loops and glue in the back to complete your bow. Set this aside to make sure the glue is cool and completely dry. (I forgot to take a picture of the last step when the tail and middle sections are added to the bow. Oops!) Now for the easy part!! Take another piece of ribbon and wrap it around the container you are using and glue in the back.

Your bow should be dry by now so go ahead and stick it wherever you want it. This bow was a little too big for the container I used, so I glued the tail in a way that kind of makes it appear as it is cascading. Now you're done and are ready to display your creation!!
